Unity is proud to announce its pledge to plant 1 tree for every Leased Line connection we sell to support our environment, various ecosystems and the balance of nature.
Through our ‘Rewilding’ campaign we are pledging the plantation of one tree for every Leased Line connection we sell through any of our platforms.
Trees make an incredibly valuable contribution to the environment. They sequester vast amounts of carbon, provide habitats to a wide range of different species, and have many other benefits. Tree planting is incredibly important for supporting ecosystems and other natural processes, as well as for curbing atmospheric carbon dioxide levels.
Unity will plant these trees in the Northumberland countryside, near Kielder Forest. There, each tree will be taken care of by the landowner to reach maturity and support the environment to its fullest ability.
Marketing Manager Rachel said: “Curbing our environmental impact, even by just one tree at a time, will have a positive impact on nature for a lifetime. This campaign isn’t just to support our own ecological goals, but to prove that any business, big or small, can create a positive impact on the environment.”
Our aim is to plant a large plot of saplings that will grow to be a flourishing woodland of mature trees. Better yet, Unity hopes for customers to name each tree, which will be uniquely theirs.
CEO Simon Scotchbrook said about the campaign: “Unity as a business and the Unifiers who work here are passionate about the project and possibility of supporting the environment. We went paperless throughout the entire Unity World organisation last year, and this is just another step forward in the right direction for the protection of planet Earth.”
